Hey guys, been a while since I posted but I wanted to see how the 6v6 18 watter would pan out. I am looking at the layout and looks like there are 5 preamp tubes. Is this the dual voiced amp with TMB channels for the "plexi"channel and the other two preamp tubes for the regular 18 watt with boost? (or is it 3 preamp tubes and 2 el84 or 2 6v6- i looked quickly)

If I am right about this amp, then this is the one I am looking for and was wondering what needs to be specified when this one is ordered as well as the costs?

Thanks

The v6 has switchable output tubes and switchable boost. In this design, you can switch in either the 6V6 or the EL84s. The sound is close to a Fender Deluxe and an 18 watt in one amp. Creamy vs Crunchy

The v6 has 3 preamp tubes, 4 power tubes and one rectifier tube. You can only get a v6 in a head althougn one customer did put it into a combo!

There are clips as well.
I built mine in January and posted " Clammy Sunday" and "Clammier Monday". These clips show the two different output tubes (as well as my "Clam" infested playing).

Edit: Oh well, they took them down. Prolly just as well. The clams were starting to turn bad :P .
No clams here tho:

Where were the clams ? If I took them down, didn't mean to.
