The switch diagram on my sIII layout looks a bit different from the Carling switches in my kit, and I'm a little confused. In the picture below you are looking at the switches from behind, with the standby switch on your right. Which lug goes to the rectifier, and which goes to the B+ on the diagram?

Also, my indicator light has both lugs on the back rather than one on the side as in the layout. How do I tell which is which?

Switches & Indicator lamps in our amps are not polarized meaning you can wire them how you prefer. I like to keep it neat and not cross over wires though.

For the Standby switch, the rectifier lead goes to the left lug and the right lead goes to B+ on the can cap.

For the indicator light, it just needs to have line voltage across it's two terminal when the power switch is on. That means when the transformer has voltage applied to it.

Hope this and the pic below helps.

FWIW i've always liked a double pole switch for mains. It makes wiring up the transformer to the mains supply along with the indicator lamp that little bit easier.

I had a feeling that was the case, but I didn't want to risk screwing up the power supply. Thanks!!
