I'm having trouble with my sIII (Rev11). There's no audio from the unit. If I remove the tubes (except the regulator) I get around 400VDC on pins 1 and 6 of V1 and V2. B+ voltage is 410V, V4 and V5 look more or less correct. I can't find any shorts or problems on the board, any ideas?

Thanks,-jl

Intermittent short from TMB inputs to V1. That funky period wire.

Another weird problem with my unit is that the Hi input to the 18W channel has never worked. I've tried re-connecting all of those wires and even replacing the jack, but it still doesn't work. The wiring is exactly the same as on the TMB channel. I changed the design so that the hi input is on top and the lo input is on the bottom when the amp head is upright (refersed from your design). Other than that, it's a bone stock sIII.

Are there any mods I should look at from rev 11 to present? I hear some slight motorboating noise as well.

Not really unless you didnt have a boost circuit.

Your amp is not very old but typically in an amplifier that has worked correctly, motorboating may be a sign that the decoupling capacitors in the B+ lines of the preamp section are not decoupling properly. You might replace the B+ decoupling capacitors at least for the preamp.
