They sound REAL good together.

I need to start a line of maple and mahogany cables to match these amps. A hewer of cables??? I like that!

Beautiful amp, ride, and axes! Lay's sure does nice work. Is the neck on the R8 pretty chunky? I've played R6s and would like that feel with humbuckers.

The R8 got the full Pigtail treatment when I switched the hardware to gold, RS kit and Zhangliquin pure handwound pickups.

It was a VOS tobacco burst, but I wanted some of the red/maroon in it, and shiny! Has some nice subtle flame to it too. Couldn't be happier with the service at Lay's, great job and great guys to work with.

The neck is .915 thick at the 1st fret and 1.050 at the 12th.

Stephen, I'm shocked :D :D

I know you know that there isn't a tolerance on a MEASURED dimension :P :P :P

Now, from what I hear the DESIGN dimension on a Gibby reissue neck can be +/-.030". They are all hand sanded and vary quite a bit.

I can't wait to play the R8 :D :D They really did a great job. I've never had a chance to play a Dano. Great photo's. No wonder you drive that car all the time, Nice.
