Hello all,

I've already sent this question to stephen but it might be of public interest so I'll post it here as well.

I'm from sweden so a wall outlet of 230V will give me lower voltages than specified (180V on PI) because the transformer is 240V. I'm thinking about different ways to increase the voltages. One alternative is solid state rectumfrier  , but I don't want to mess with that. So I'm thinking of removing or decreasing the value of the 8k2 2watt resistor.

Any thought on this? I have about 280V on the screens.

I will increase the zener to 12V (6V before) in my VVR. This will give me some volts back. Maybe 10V max.

I really like my v6, but I'm curious about this simple change.

Success! I have installed the 12V zener. To my surprise I now have a B+ of 320V compared to 300V with 6V zener. The vvr only drops 2V in max position.

Just to clarify. My vvr circuit is from the earlier versions made by Hall and not the vrm that stephen sells. Stephen uses 12V zener in the vrm and I think Hall have changed to 12V since I bought the vvr.
