Should I be able to measure a short between one of the heater wires (pin 7 on the 6v6 and pin 5 on all the other tubes) and ground? I only get this when one of the 4 output tubes on my V6 is plugged in.
Is this normal? :?

I dont think so. Not Zero ohms anyway. Heaters are an independent circuit but there is a centre tap going to ground. For fun, pull the two 6V6 & see if it exists.

I measured a new 18 watt Plexi build here - 0.2 ohms from pin 4/5 or 9 to ground and it works fine with about 6.5 VAC on the heater. But not a dead short. That will blow a fuse I expect.
