i forgot to leave an empty spot between the pre amp tubes and the power tubes. will this be a problem? i could fix it at this point, i will just have to rewire the heaters between them.

:?: On my layout it shows the unused tube socket is on the extreme preamp end of the chassis closest to the side!

If you left a space between the pre / power, even that should be OK.

On the layout diagram I have the unused tube socket hole is at the far right on the drawing,in otherwords outboard of v1! Is this not correct?

i guess i got the v6 chassis because i have 5 pre amp holes, 2 el84's plus the rectifier.

well the V6 will have two large holes for the octal sockets (6v6s).

All 18 watt/TC chassis start out the same. Head chassis has 8 holes, combo has 7.
We punch out bigger holes for the TC & 6V6 & then plug unused holes. Plugs provided in kits too.
