hey was getting ready to start up my 18watt just finishing assembling,got a couple issue's to troubleshoot
1st question A/C output from power trans to pins 1 and 7 at recto tube should be 290vac correct?what is the tolerance I am seeing 314-316vac (power section chassis grnd to pin 1 or 7with 123vac mains voltage),seeing 400-450 vdc at pin 3

A B+ of 420 VDC, no tubes installed is pretty normal. Yours sounds about right. It will vary with line voltage. The specs are in the Want Ads and are at 120/240 VAC line voltage.
