Hello everybody,

As some of you perhaps know, some time ago I ordered my first Trinity kit - it was a Trinity Plexi Combo - and for the last 2 days I have been working on it with a friend of mine, mostly in the evenings. This is where we are now (if someone sees any mistakes, please let me know!):

FYI I know another Croatian who is an experienced amp builder, and has built a classic 18W combo for himself, including winding all the transformers. Online he calls himself Leslie. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJQtKlu7sn0 Maybe you might like to contact him.

Hello zaphod, yes I know leslie and I will definitely contact him later. I played his 18watt and leslie is one of the reasons I started to look up informations about the 18 watt and wanted to build one by myself with the help of another friend.

I think your power and standby switches are upside down. Unless they are different than mine.

I don't think they are different. You are probably right. I looked at your pictures and I just have it the other way around. So, they should be "arranged" like the alpha pots, I assume. Thanks for your info!

Being a British style amp, the switches need to be ON when the toggles are in the down position (when the chassis is the correct way up).

Keep those leads short. Especially the ones with AC on them.

dobro za sada :)

Stephen, I kind of wired the PT too fast, so it would be better to put it the other way around, so that the red wires from the PT to the rectifier are shorter?

Here are some new pics..
I did some work today, finished most soldering, the only thing that bothers me is the PT, because I didn't turn it the other way around, now I'm thinking to change this, probably some wires will then be shorter, but it can be managed.

Finished V1 and V2

http://i703.photobucket.com/albums/ww40 ... G_2936.jpg

then V3, V4 and V5

another angle of the tube section:

now the alpha pots:

I did not know, that something like this could be so much fun. I am already thinking about my next project, and it will definitely be an 18 Watt again. Probably the original 18 Watt tremolo version!

Thanks to you all for all the help and responses!!
