any help would be much appreciated-

my dad and I built one of the 18 watt TMB models last year and everything's been fine 'til now. often the amp will work fine and everything but lately it'll work for 15 minutes or so and then slowly fizzle out until it doesn't make any sound at all. also, the odd time when I'm plugged into the high gain input on the TMB channel it will rattle and crackle fairly loudly while I play. any ideas on what's up?

I would look over your tubes, and also recheck the voltages when the amp is behaving / misbehaving.
Could be a weak solder joint too, that has deteriorated. You'll need to go around and poke with a chopstick to see if you can find the weak spot.

thanks a lot. I will check and check back tomorrow. I have a hunch its the tubes.
