Hello everyone! I'm sorry if this question has been asked but I can't find it using the search: Is there a schematic or layout showing the recommended changes to go from EL84's to using ONLY 6V6's in the Plexi 18 watter? I don't have any desire to switch back and forth between the 6V6's and EL84's, I just want to convert my amp over to dedicated 6V6 operation. I've read a few comments on some values that need to change to compensate for the lower gain of the 6V6's, but I'd really like a clean way to look at what needs to be changed and where for when I sit down to start changing parts. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

See the resources section for the V6 (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=763) and just wire up the 6V6s only. The only differences I see are the grid resistors are 1.5K and the cathode resistor is 250 ohm on the 6V6s.

That and a few changes to the PI to drive the 6v6s a little harder. Phil posted on that topic.

Just to save you a little time looking, you will want around 270 ohms for the 6V6s' cathode resistor. Then change the 56k resistor in the PI to 22k and the 820 ohm resistor in the PI to 470 ohms (the Trinity Plexi already uses 470 ohms BTW). Then away you go!

Thanks for all the info guys, I'm looking forward to hearing the results of the swap. By no means am I not happy with the amp with EL84's, but just thought I would try something different.
