Hey,

I just found a nice amp on my local newspaper. From what i remember from a post here, it is an early model since the MV is in an input.

Anyone could give me some infos about it? Since it's an early model, i guess its a standard TMB. Is it , as good as the new one? Do you think i could modified it for a sIII (since i was looking for a JTM45).

Thanks

Email Trinity with the serial number and they will be able to give you more info about it.

It's an early one but hard to same exactly what 18W model.

If it's a Trinity built production build it should be on the back. If it's a kit build there won't be a serial number.

Did you email Trinity?

If you open the amp up and take pics of the inside that will be the easiest way to tell who built it.

Well, it's definitely a TMB and yes it could be modified to be an sIII. It's a quite early one, maybe 2005 but hard to say. some early ones did not have serial numbers.

No serial number, and using the original Richie Hall style 18W TMB layout. Super rare amp!  Must be worth a lot of $$$$ :D :D

Hey,

Sorry that i didnt give any feedback, but i still didnt really tried it. I finally got a cab (Avatar vintage 2x12 with Vintage 30), but now the amp seems damaged. I took it with me to try the cab but now i hear a buzz when im playing. I sure it's a tube so im gonna bring it to my amp tech.

I'll give some feedback when i can.

BTW Stephen gave me a really fast anwser to my questions. I am glade he did, even if i brough the amp used.

Hi again,

I still got a problem with the amp... Since the rectifier tube was flashin blue, i ordered one from the tubestore. When i removed the one that was installed, i saw a metal part in the socket. Is this normal? I still see all the pins on the tube.

At the same time, i ordered new EL84. Can i installe them without worries? I know its cathode bias and i should be ok, but it seems like there is still some ajustement with them according to some peoples.

Thanks again for the help
Hope to play this amp soon

Looks like the clamp in side the socket that holds the pin of the tube is buggerd. Probably gonna need to replace the socket as well

Might be able to use the socket temporarily but yeah you want to replace it.
