Can the tubes on an 18 Watt Plexi be mounted horizontally?

I've been reading on the net about tube orientation and from what I gather the tubes can be mounted horizontally. In other words can I take the combo chassy and mount it in a cabinet so the face plate is on the front?

I have read this can cause some SAG inside the tube itself depending on the tube and will cause it to fail quicker.

And with this orientation will it have an effect on the Transformers or any other parts in the amp itself?

I have not even purchased my tubes yet or speaker/speakers.

I have been sketching some different cabinet design's from a box to an arched top cabinet. I don't gig so once complete this amp will more than likely just stay in my jam room unless I have the opportunity to take it out for a jam at a friends house or party.

You can run those tubes horizontally. Lots of amps do.
