Hi everyone!

I have finally built my combo cabinet for my Plexi and when I had installed everything I figured a would run through some settings to get a feel of what the sound is like in the new cab.

I noticed that the VRM had to be turned up to ca 80% on the TMB-channel to even get a sound. It worked better on the other channel. That was a bit strange. Anyway I started to play and suddenly the whole amp went silent. I tried to use all four connectors and no sound at all.

It has happened once earlier.

I tried to swap all the tubes but no luck. The fuse is fine.
I haven't measured the voltages yet but I just wanted to check if anyone has experienced this before?

I think, this is just a hunch, that if I would leave the amp off to cool it down it would start working again. I will check this also.

Havent seen this happen before. Does it work when it is cold? Can you bypass the VRM and test!

Thanks! I tried that and now the normal channel is working but the TMB is dead. I will try to get some time to measure all the voltage tonight and see if I can find the problem. Maybe one of the power tubes really is dead?

If the Normal channel is working fine, then the problem is only around V2 or 1/2 of V1. Not a power tube or the phase inverter.
If the tubes are good, then its likely a cold solder joint in the TMB channel somewhere.
