...or do these things break in?

I've been playing the plexi a lot, trying to shake it down before I start taking it to the gigs where my JTM45 is just too much.

Over the last week or so it strikes me the amp is warmer, darker, gainier and even quieter than it was when I pulled it out of the oven.

I'm using the same cab as my other amp, so speakers not a factor, they're well seasoned.

Yes? No?

Yes there is something about tubes breaking in. Some places will pre-burn-in tubes for you.

Yes, the transformers and caps burn in. Sozo recommends a break in period for their caps. I had one customer say it was a year before he thought his amp was fully burned in!

Or maybe things just started wearing out and the sound changed lol :lol:
