Alright all, long time lurking while kit shopping. Finally got the go ahead from SWMBO that I can get a kit soon and I've narrowed it down. Looking at the 18 Watt TMB model with v6 or the Triwatt. I've always been in to that Marshall sound and I'm more interested in higher gain but that Triwatt also looks so darn appealing and sounds great as well with all that punch! The only pedal I own is an overdrive that I built somewhat along the lines of a Boss SD-1, so I'm hoping to get most of the gain/saturation/distortion from the amp itself. Just wanted a tiny bit more help and advice in choosing which kit to pull the trigger on. Looking mostly at a good all around classic rock amp that can do a combo of VH, AC/DC, and still have enough gain and low end to do something tone-wise and saturation along the lines of Dream Theater and some low end thump of Tool. I think I'm answering my own question when I describe the tone I'm looking for, but versatility is a must and I'm leaning toward the 18 just for the ease of modding as well. Thanks everyone!
