So I got super excited and just jumped right in and placed an order for a TMB with the V6 option. However. I see a fair number of people using some other combination. Wondering if I should change this up before my order gets shipped out or what?

I primarily want great tone for playing modern metal, more than anything else. But of course I play lots of other stuff. Don't know what difference I'd be getting pairing, say, a sIII and a V6 vs a TMB and a V6. Any hints?

Tmb would be the most gain

As for modern metal don't think you'll get there without something up front

80's metal is do able . better with something like an ep booster up front

You could cascade the TV channel into the TMB for more gain if you need it. Put it on a switch.

With cascading was trying to find an easy way to bypass the tone and volume and altering the values of the cathode to be more like and jcm 800 second stage

But I think i might just add an 6av6 for the normal channel and add mix resistors at the pi and turn the tubes in it into a jcm 800

Also thought about turning the TMB channel into more of an orange rocker 30 preamp

there is also a spare hole for an extra tube if you were inclined.
