Has anyone tried these in their 18s?If so, which position(s). I have some in my THD bivalve & they work pretty well there.They are lower gain than 12AX7s,so I guess they won't have the same crunch factor in my s111.(I know,I know why don't I just try them and see?)Just curious if any one else has tried them & what was the verdict..BTW my 18 s111 has become amp#1 in my collection!!!Unreal! it is the best amp I have ever built.(it's also the only amp I've ever built but that will soonchange)

I've used the 5751 in my dual EL84 amp.It was NOT a Trinity. But it really cleans the amp up. I couldn't stand mahogany and humbuckers, to much bass, so I got a NOS 5751 and it was much better.
So, highly recommend. .
Remember, it's all subjective to your own taste.

I have not used them in an 18 watter, but in other amps they were very nice.

The dual I'm talking about isn't 18watts. More like 10 or 12. Very bassy amp. Have to redo it one of these days. But it definitely cleaned the bass up.
