I have a question that I know has been covered somewhere. How can I use both 6V6 & EL84 tubes at the same time? Do I need two output transformers? Can I use the two primaries of the sIII transformer for each set of tubes (one for EL84 and one for 6V6)?

Check out the v6 documentation in the resource section for some ideas.

Do you want to run 6V6 AND EL84 at the same time, not switch between them but blend them?

If you use 4 tubes at the same time, you will need to use a 4K impedance tap on a transformer. Our OT has 8K & 5K at least its an option.

I have seen a cricuit where you blend them together. I'll see if I can find it.

Basically, you need adjust the drive. Kind of special master volume thingy!

Thanks Stephen, I do want to blend them. If you can find that schematic it would be great.

Bruce Egnater has this "blend" feature on his Rebel 20 (along with a few other features that seem vaguely familiar) I'd be curious as well as to how this is done 8)
