 Post subject: sIII VOLTAGES

hi this is the voltages of my sIII
the amp sound good the voltage seems close from the chart but a little bit smaler may be beacause of my B+ ( it's not hight )
all voltage taken from the board

wall voltage 230VAC
B+(w only rectifier) 415VDC
B+(w all tubes in ) 340VDC

they're good balanced !

they are below the chart ,but i have an idea about this:
i think it's beacause the primary of the PT is rated for 240 VAC with my wall at 230 that will provide a smaller B+

i have another question about the VRM
i read all the topic about the vrm and i dont understand wath is exactly the purpose of the vrm

it is to have a saturation of the power tubes at low volume like an attenuator ?

That's correct. Similar tone you get at high volume, but at low volume. Works well too. Information in the resourse section.
