Been a while, first thanks Zaphod, Bits & Volts, Loosechange, Coco, for all the info great ideas and patience.

In my quest to tame the beast, I've use many of your suggestions
and still tried to keep the essence of the "lightning sound".

I wanted to share a mod that I tried that you could do on any build stock or other wise. You can keep the sound you have now and go from mellow to extreme. Keep in mind my PI is a lot tamer than a stock lightning (thanks Z) set up so your values may vary.

I replaced the 100K attenuator resistor between the two (.01uf) caps for the PI with a (1meg audio) "no load" pot and an inline (22k) resistor.
I opened up a 1 meg Alpha pot and just scraped the last 3/32nds of the high end of the wiper and soldered the 22k inline on the input side.
I get 22k to about 880k then at 10 (the cleaned off area of the pot) the pot is totally out of the circuit. Mild to Wild and at 100k setting it's "stock".

Not sure if this would be considered a type of master, I call it a Trim control because in essence it's just a variable attenuator for the PI, right?
Try it with some jumpers, it's pretty cool. I'm a blues freak and this really lets me get more use out of the amp and still keep the "lighnting fun".
