WOOOT!!!

The wifey has officially approved the Tri-Watt kit purchase. She's a bit of a Pearl Jam freak and when I showed her that Eddie Vedder uses them it pushed her over the edge. You guys should be getting a call pretty soon - or maybe I'll drive up. It's only ten hours

So I'm getting the workshop tooled up to build a head cab. I really enjoy this part of amp construction - and I'm totally going to copy the Tri-Watt on the 2 x 12 in the tread with my previous question.

Does anyone have any blueprints or decent dimensional drawings for the Tri-Watt head?

I'm thinking this one will get green tolex and white piping . . . hmmmm

AFAIK, Hiwatts only ever came in black tolex, kind of like Model T Fords. So for the Eddie Vedder look you may need to stick with black.... :)

Yeah, I'd need to lose a few pounds and buy a pair of leather pants too . . . whatever it takes to keep the missus happy, right?

We saw these guys in Philadelphia at the Spectrum the day before Halloween BTW. I'm not a huge Pearl Jam fan, but it was an AWESOME concert - and this is coming from a guy who has taken the wife to 3 -4 PJ concerts every time they've toured since 1994. Great tones and great musicianship all around. I was honestly impressed - these guys are getting better with age.

Yeah, the head and cab layouts would be cool. I'll probably buy them from Stephen after a butcher a few sheets of birch ply though. :-)

Mine is going to set on top of my Marshall 1960 Classic until I can get a proper 2 x 12 built. The greenbacks ought to sound pretty darn good at the lower volumes that I jam at.

But I have to say, Emohawk's 2 x 12 is absolutely slaying me. I'm going to have to get another job if this continues . . .

I know how you feel. I built a Trinity sIII 3 years ago (I think) and I'm working on my 7th since then (4 Trinitys). Fortunately for my wallet, three of those were for friends!

Man your 2 x 12 is freaking amazing. Total Hiwatt hotness.

I've built tons of amps but they always end up with friends. I guess I'm just a softy.
