Hi,

I'm a bit confused about the wiring for the power transformer on the Deluxe layout diagram - it shows a 120V connection for US/Canada.

I'm also connecting a trinity VRM, replacing the power toggle switch with a on-off switch type pot, as described and layed out by HarmonyoftheSpheres.

Does anyone have a layout diagram of the Deluxe, showing UK 240V wiring? Again, I'm a total newbie, so the visual layout diagram is kind of my bible!

Any help much appreciated! :)
Rich

Hi,

funny, I just did the exact same thing last night.

I donĀ“t have a layout but this is how I understand it:

***PLEASE WAIT TILL SOMEONE MORE EXPERIENCED HAS VERIFIED THIS, I`M NEW TO THIS AS WELL***

240V Wiring of the Trinity Tweed Deluxe PT with switched pot for VRM:

Black wire from PT --- Neutral from Mains
Black/Red wire from PT --- One side of the switch lugs on the pot
Live wire mains to one side of the fuse
One wire from the other side of the fuse to the remaining lug on the switch of the pot.
BlackWhite from the PT and BlackBlue from the PT connected together
Ground to ground....

Good luck.

Tweed Deluxe Power Transformer - PRIMARY CONNECTIONS

I hope this helps. Sorry about the confusion. The manual will be updated as well.

For 240V - use the primary in series hooking Black /Blue to Black /White. Connect 240 mains to Black/Red and Black (common/neutral).

For 120 V - use the primary in parallel hooking Black/Red to Black/White and Black/Blue to Black. Connect 120 mains to Black/Red and Black (common/neutral).
