 Post subject: what ot for a spitfire

what the correct speck for the spitfire outputtrany? and what choke and if no choke what resistor thank mark

The same as for the Matchless Lightning. The OT uses a 4k primary impedance. The Trinity OT has a 5k primary winding for that purpose, which is plenty close enough IMO. For choke and resistor options take a look at the TC-15 schematics in the Resources section.

i have some ots that were used with 6l6s id assume they were intended for larger power output, i guess ill give them a try if they dont work out ill have to order a few of the trinitys iv used 18watt iron in these amps while they sound ok iv alway had the feeling they wernt right thanks zp mark

Yeah, the Matchless tone depends on a lower primary impedance.

The 5K impedance does the trick for a Matchless Sound and the OT is highest quality too. You do get a bonus 8K for a smoother (Munch) sound.
