I found this site while searching for the hiwatt sound I rememebered from when I was young. I had several models and used them for bass as well as guitar.
I ordered my Triwatt kit, built it and mated it with a cab that is loaded with a wgs reaper and green beret. Each speaker can be run mono 16ohms or 8ohms in parallel and they sound wonderful.
After I built it I had 3 people bring in tube amps for repair including 1 hiwatt dr50.
From no hiwatts to it seemed I was starting to trip over them.
Now the NAMM show is over and it looks like I have a new line to sell.
I really will be tripping over them.

Sweet, at least I hope so, I haven't heard the new ones.

I was "this" close to buying one of the newer 50 watt hi-gain combos.

But I came to my senses... I am sure they are nice amps, but I dont NEED another amp. At least with a kit, I can justify it as I get to build it. At least thats what I tell my wife
