So I had a ceramic socket in V2 and was swapping out tubes the top and bottom of the socket came apart. Replaced socket with a micalex socket and have a problem. The volume pot on ch. 1 and the gain pot on ch.2 are acting like on/off switches. Ok amount of volume coming from ch1 but very little of anything from ch2. It sounds like on pot is shorting the other.

I did inadvertently switch how I wired the 100k resistor.
I went from pin 1 to pin 7 and jumpered pin 1 to pin 6. I also went from pin 6 to R21 and C11-12 as per the schematic. Could not having the resistor directly across both plates be causing the problem?

The only other change I made was switching out C1 to .022uF. I re-flowed everything that was changed and the joints look good. Reflowed grounds as well. What's going on?

Thanks as always,
Jersey Joe

Not exactly sure what you've done but why don't you wire the tube the way the schematic says? Pin 1 to 7, 1 to 6??? If you are trying to reverse which triode is the driver and which is the cathode follower then you need to swap all 3 connections on both triodes.

That resistor has to go across the plates as per the layout.

Coco, I see now how both channels share the first triode of V2. I made a silly mistake. I really could benefit from that amp seminar :)

Someday I'll understand all this. Time is my worst enemy.
