I feel like i have just passed through into the inner sanctum of tone. I have a bit of fine-tuning to do with voltages and adding of VMR but this amp is what i have always dreamed of, i just didn't know it until now. I have a whole heap of amps i've built and own:

Champ 5F1,
18 Watt,
Deluxe 5E3,
Sewell Wampus Cat
Fender 75
Trinity Lightning
D$mble clone Overdrive Special

but non of them touches this, the crunch is out of this world, it's, i can hardly find the words, it's just what i always wanted - so thanks so much Trinity for allowing me to join the club.

Cool, congrats and we're looking forward to comparisons with a DC30 some day.

I have shots of the chassis inside and out, but no head cab yet, plan to make a start on that today. It's a scratch build, so go easy on me, some parts like resistors are oversized, as i use what i have.

I would prefer the TC-15 in a 1-12 or maybe a 1-15 combo, i have a 15 inch Celestion just for the job. Currently my Mullard EF86 is terribly microphonic and i am going to get Stephen's suggestion of an Amperex Bugle Boy. Would you advise against putting the TC-15 in a combo? I notice the DC30 i have here rattles and fizzes like crazy. I'll do some comparisons and let you know.
