Hi all,
I'm working my way through the initial fire up of the plexi-v6. I've got continuity at all points that lead to ground. The heater leads are all within spec. I install the rectifier and get 440v on its output lead on the can cap. I proceed to check the plate voltages and get basically nothing. Now what? I'm hoping that whatever it is isn't on the underside of the turret board!!!

Now that my first mistake if fixed I've got 420v at the plates. Yikes! Can't be right.... can it?

I see a bad solder at the can. Logical. We'll see

Well, now I'm getting 420v on the plates at each socket (no tubes other than the rectifier).... Any thoughts?

It's Right on! Once you put in all the tubes, it will drop to 340-350 V .

Yes they did! They came over and helped me celebrate the birth. My next question is, why is it so quiet? No hiss or hum, I'm pretty stoked at this point, despite my poor soldering. (3 cold ones easily discovered with a multimeter).

Thanks Steven,
Lee
