Happy new year ya'll.

I am building a 2x10 cab.
But what speakers to use......

Mostly to be used with my TC 15, or the Tweed.
Bluesy tone.

Buying at BBQ.
Have anybody tried their hempcones?

Thanks

Nicolai

I can agree with WGS as they are my goto speaker company. I have all 3 of the 10" models that they show. The Vetran 10 is what you use when you want actual cone breakup from low powered amps. The G10A is the speaker that lives in my Tramp combo and is one of the most flexible speakers I use.
The G10C has a voice with much Jenson style to it. A combination of the G10A and G10C sounds great and will handle any of my amps. Blues, 60/70s rock and with a pedal wherever you want to go. My tweed has a G12C installed in it, very much a Jenson type sound.
My favorite WGS speaker combination is the G10A paired with the ET-65 12" in a closed back cab and the G10A in an open back combo. Fantastic tone with bang for the buck! With the Tramp(6L6) in 'tude/fat mode it is a very flexible combo. Just by dialing up and down the guitar volume I can go between clean and chimey to downright shredding tone.

I use a Lopoline 2x10 with my Allen Old Flame head.

It has two different Eminence Patriot speakers in it: Ragin Cajun and Copperhead. I chose those because I wanted American style (i.e. Jensen-ish, not Celestion clones) speakers to use with a BF style amp that can also veer into Tweed terrritory. The Copperhead more of a classic American vibe with sparkly highs, solid lows and the usual mid scoop. The Ragin Cajun seems a little more geared toward the low mids and really fills the sound out. Plus, IIRC, the RC is a tad "rounder" and louder overall. Together, they fill out a nice sound for an American type amp. Since you said Tweed, that seems appropriate.
