Contacted him about the situation! Last I heard he was thinking about options. I was thinking JTM45

Stephen...don't you DARE do a JTM45 kit!!!

(translation... "Stephen...PLEASE do a JTM45 kit!!!").

Hmmm...wouldn't a Metro/Trinity collaboration be an interesting concept... :hmmm:

Most of my guts for my 2204 build came from George. I found his wiring & component kits very convenient. Took a lot of the thinking out of the deal for a scratch build. Too bad it didn't work out for him. Great guy.

I'm more interested in the work he was doing with Ampeg and the Heritage B-15 reissue 8)

Wow, it's like a circle closing.

When I got the itch to supplement my Allen Old Flame kit (very BF Fender American) with a British/Marshall type kit, Metro was the first place I looked. I just couldn't fathom harnessing a 100 watt non-MV head, and I figured the 50 watt heads were still too much. That led me to plan to order a JTM 45 kit. Luckily, somebody online pointed me to Trinity for the be all, end all of 18 watt kits.

Never ordered that JTM, but there's a Trinity kit waiting for me to finish!

Hmmmm, might also be cool if we had a 6V6/KT66 switch in that amp, like the Triwatt has. It wouldn't be real hard to do.

As you said, real easy. In fact, our 45 OT has dual windings of 8K & 6K . It was designed to be used with EL34 or KT66.

50 watt plexi ?? Please??

Without Metro, the only 50 watt kits are Ceri@tone, correct? Maybe BBQ, I'm not sure. Nothing against Ceri@tone, but I would buy a Trinity 50 watt kit first for sure......

Im not even 100% done with the build I'm on, and I'm already planning the next.

How about a V6 type setup for EL34 and 6V6 ,That would be nice. I thought about that for the Triwatt , But I guess it is not as simple as flipping a switch because of the bias adjustments required....

If the amp is already set up for EL34 and KT66, then it would be as simple as switching a switch. You would be switching a resistor in parallel with the KT66 bias resistor of whatever size resistor is needed to give the correct bias for a 6v6.

Yeah you're right. The only other thing you would have to do is punch 2 more tube socket holes and give'r!

Do you have any JTM45 parts left for sale?
