I started this about a month before my son was born... just got a chance to finish it up.

It is the 1st guitar I have built in 16 months and the first one in the new woodworking shop.

Specs:

Korina 2 pc body, and 2 pc neck also Korina.
Snakewood fretboard, 25" scale, 22 jumbo frets
Waverly tuners, ebony buttons
graphite nut, ebony headstock overlay
Tortoise pickguard, three ply (Tort/white/black)
Tortoise/creme/thin black body and neck binding
TV Jones Powertron+ pickup, single volume & tone, with an N-tuner on board tuner
electrosocket jack
lacquer finish, high gloss, with an orange stain mixed into the first few coats
mother of pearl face and side dots, and my AC logo
Schroeder aluminum wrap around bridge, tone pros posts

PS I think it sounds the best through my TC15.... wowsers! Although 2nd is the 18W.

Gorgeous work! I really like the shape of your headstock (along with the rest of the instrument).
The pickup does look kinda lonely, though. Does that make it a one-trick-pony?

Well, I can crank one of these out pretty quickly... I probably have under 20 hours in it from start to finish. As for one trick pony... I have several two and three pickup guitars, so it is nice to have something simple that you basically plug in and rock! Much like a Trinity amp... no need for too many knobs and controls

The TV Jones powertron plus is a great pickup... just ask the Rev Billy Gibbons!

As for one trick pony...
Nothing wrong with a one trick ponie, its like a lot of guitarists that can only play one style of music.
I have modified so many guitars to be one trick ponies. Several pro players up here have had me bypass switches, volume controls and tone controls on their guitars. They always play with the same pick up and don't want switches or pots in the chain. They do all adjustments on their amps.
Most of my play uses just the neck pickup, its the tone I like.

I could be quite happy with the above guitar even if it only has a single pickup (tvjones no less)

Don't get me wrong - I admire hugely your ability to craft these instruments, and this one is another beauty.
I've come to rely on a S/S/H strat due to the variety of sounds I can get out of it, and was wondering about your objective with this guitar.
I suppose in a cover band you'd end up bringing number of guitars to a gig.

No problem, i guess its just what you like or are used to. I generaly play on the bridge pickup no matter what i am using, and i have gigged my LP junior singlecut copy many times (with its single p90) just fine. One of my fave guitars i made back in the early 90's had just a single hb in the bridge.

Just with that one pickup though, and a decent amp you can get a lot of tonal variety yet.
