I've done a trinity layouy plexi with controls at the front, my son found the vvr at the bottom
on the rear a pain.
I've got to straighten the salt and pepper cloth but otherwise looks good to me.

This amp sounds really good but my voltages seem a little low compared to yours is
there any reason to be concerned and are there any other checks i should do.
I've used the same value resistors and caps with a mixture of carbon film and
carbon comp to see if there is any real difference.
I checked with my original kit and the voltages are similar, i've been using that for well over
a year now with a vvr in it with no problems yet.

Voltages vary all over the place with different tubes, mains voltages etc. It is not precise like solid state stuff. My ROT (Rule Of Thumb), is if it sounds good, it is good! Enjoy it.

Thanks so much, you guys are great btw.
This is the third one i've built and this the best sounding according to my son, it seems
to have more gain for some reason.
What was interseting is the combo box i built originally was slightly smaller and had
a fixed 18mm baffle,it sounded good until i plugged the amp in my bluesbreaker box
and the sounded superb up to GNR tones, so scrap box and build the one in the picture.
Stuff you do for tone and kids.
Cheers.
