Hi, I've been playing with my Tc15 for a couple of months now, finally have all the mods completed and love the tone and options available. I've been having a slight problem since day one. Not all the time but regularly a noise comes into the sound, like a scratchy pot but while playing with no adjustments being made. Originally I put it down to a bad mains earth, but I've since moved the amp to a studio where I know the earth is perfect. I've checked all earth connections on the amp are 100%. There's no dc on any of the pots. I know I've complicated matters by adding reverb and a cascade mod (thanks again to kurtlives for his help on this) but the problem was there before either mod was added. It's there on both channels which led me to look at the phase inverter. I changed the 2 caps C9 & C11 but this made no difference. Love the amp but this really takes from it.
Starting to run out of ideas, any help greatly appreciated!

Ok I'm an idiot! Found the problem. It was an internal short on the shielded cable going from the volume pot to V2. Since I built the amp I thought channel 2 could only do clean! I replaced the cable, the short was actually somewhere towards the centre of the cable. I had used some old cable I found knocking around, not the cable supplied in the kit ( I ran out of that) Noise gone, slightly embarrassed but at least everything now works!
