Hi guys,

I just build my Tweed. Everything went ok. But no sound.

I'm really new at this so i don't really know how and where to measure voltages.

Could you explain how this has to be done??

I've checked and rechecked connections but the Rectifier tube simply doesn't burn. All the other 4 Tubes (2x6v6, 12ax7 and 12ay7) are glowing really good but the rectifier just won't glow. I did get 375VDC on both pins 4 and 6 of 5y3. But i dont get that 400VDC on pin8. Is the tube damaged?? How can i test if the tube is damaged??

How do i measure the other voltages? are those DC o AC?

I may borrow a 5u4 from a friend. Should i try it with one of those or wait to get another 5y3

What do you think about the cabin? Its 100% Colombian Granadillo, a South American Type of Rosewood, completely handmade with dovetail joints.

It's so hard to see where wires are going but do you have the B+ from the rectifier wired to ground? It should go to the first cap filter node.

Also, that cabinet looks amazing.

Guys,

These are my voltage readings. Some are lower than expected

384 VDC on B+
22VDC where the 250R and the 25uF meet. Same as layout
*** 50VDC instead of 70VDC*****. Where the 1k5R meets the .1uF400V and to pin 8 of V2 (12ax7)
***202VDC instead of 175VDC**** Where the 56KR meets the .1uF400V and to pin 6 of V2 (12ax7)
***160VDC instead of 167VDC**** Where the 100KR meets the .02uF600V and to 1 of V2 (12ax7)
***1.3VDC instead of 1.1VDC*** where the 1K5R meets the 25uF50V and to pin 3 of V2

The other voltages measure ok

Should I change my V2 (12ax7)??

Just changed my 12ax7 tube with the one on my TRAMP. I still keep getting the same voltages. Any idea why?? I can imagine 2 tubes being broken.

The really weird thing is the following....

Im getting really low volume and very opaque sounds when im plugged into the BRIGHT channel. On Normal it sound trully amazing, but when plugged into the bright channel i just get a very low volume pretty UNBright sound.

Any ideas?
