Nicely done. Thanks for sharing that. Any mods at all? & what speaker were you using?

Turns out there was a mod I did not no I did. Thought I had a clear top rca 12ax7 in v2 but it was a clear top 12au7

With the 12ax7 in there its way more Neil Young ragget but hey I like it both ways so I'll hang on to the 12au7 when I need a kinder gentler machine gun hand

:happydance:

I have since chanded the coupler cap on the normal chan to .022 and to me its the first time in my life I've had a good clean sound on my bridge pickup. So Thnx for that. As for the bright side I'm leaving it alone as I like the NY edge

Ok I've killed the rectifier in this amp 2 (insert your favorite reck'em damm near killed him joke) but I had a sovtek back up. All I can say is with 6V6's I really did not like the sound change compared to what I had with the lower voltage from the jj's . Since I did already put in the 10 watt cathode resistor in it. It was time to try out some 6L6's I just borrowed from another amp. To me I like the 6L6 with the sovtek 5Y3. They actually seem louder but I would think that was from the voltage increase. As well as little more open. When I get another JJ I will try it with the 6L6's. At this point I'm thinking the transformers can take it as nothing is running really hot, or I haven't let the smoke out of any components yet.

So my question after all that is should I add screen resistors for this config?

I forgot about this. Here's a clip of the original set up with the 12au7  in V2. recorded with LP mostly on the neck pick up . With a just cracked bridge volume control for the quiet parts (that didn't come out right ) at the beginning and end. (Its with some garage band loops)

The OT is higher rated than the original OT but, there is no guarantee running a higher current through it, so experiment but be aware of that. I would be concerned running it full blast for hours with a 6L6 pair.
