I know I should just do a simple wattage/voltage= amperage and figure this out. However, I want to make sure I do it right. I have several other things plugged into the same circuit in my studio and I need to know how much current the Tramp draws. So I figure I would ask here and get the correct answer.

How many amps (us voltage) does a Tramp draw?

On idle or on max and playing it. I can plug one in and tell you what the idle AC current is.

You can get one of these, or similar for about $30, plug it into the socket, plug your amp, or any other electrical device into it and it will tell you exactly how much juice is being consumed while that device is being used.

We fuse the tramp at 1 amp, so certainly not more than that!

Thanks. I ordered one for $22 online. Nice to have for gigs to make sure I know how much current different amps and pa's draw.

Thanks also to all who replied. The various replies have helped me be safe and make sure that the other amps and devices in my little studio are not drawing too much current for my breaker. I was always taught to keep the total draw to 80% of what the breaker allows. Don't want breakers to trip or to cause a fire.

Update. I got the P3 International Meter (see above) and finally got around to plugging my Tramp with a 6V6 tube into this voltage/amperage meter.

When I turn the Power Level (VRM) maxed out/up, it draws .30 amps (USA); with the Power Level all the way down, it only draws .14 amps. So the max amperage I am drawing is .30 amps. It is good to know this when gigging or rehearsing with others just so I/we know how much current is being drawn.

Really like having this meter around. Useful for Tramp or for projects around the home. Thanks Snowy for recommending it.
