So here's the deal. I built my own amp cradle with a few small modifications to the plans shown on this site, box joints for the corners, etc. Well..... I messed up by flipping the bottom plate during assembly which ended up making one of the end pieces oriented backwards! So I figured the best way to fix it was to not only remake one section correctly, but to completely remake both sections, including one to match my reversed mess up. Needles to say, this leaves me with a second, fully assembled/glued up amp cradle that I'm offering for $45/U.S. plus the shipping. OK grade Home Cheapo 3/4" ply, not Baltic Birch, but nicely and fully functional. Pics to follow.
Let Me Know,
Gene

Yeah,
Even though the ply wood wasn't really top quality and did not lend itself well to finger joining, it was good practice on the joints and jig set up. Sure wish I had that Incra I-box. Did you get yours? Grunt-grunt-grunt, I love new toys, uh, I mean tools! :happydance: I now have 2 of the cradles, of course, the nicest of the 2 is the one for sale. The trickiest part is the curved slots, unless you have a circle cutter for your router, like this:

If you butt joint, glue & screw it should take you a couple hours. The plans were somewhere on this site, if you search, but were a bit scattered in their layout. It ain't rocket science though. Basically main piece 24"L x 9"H x 8"D and adjust height of other section for your stock thickness. Have fun turning large boards into smaller ones! :D

I did get the I jig and it is truly amazing. No more fiddle farting with my home made box jig.

For cutting the arcs I have made this simple jig out of 1/2" mdf. Been using it for years

At my age the farting is a given, but involving the poor fiddle is just plain wrong! :bugeye: Seriously, glad you like your new toy (oops, I mean TOOL) and I hope you find many uses for it. I have an Incra 1000HD miter gauge and I mad a sub-fence/jig for it for finger joints. That Incra stuff is really the cats a$$ and really accurate, aiding repeatable work and results! While laying it out/setting it up for 3/8" joints I made blocks/inserts for 1/4" & 1/2" while I was at it. I'm always a big fan of making a nice jig for any operation that I can see doing more than once.
Happy Projects To Ya,
Gene
