Hey All,
Just a bit of info, if anyone cares. I need to build my head cabinet while waiting for my kit to arrive. Being that I'm a bit out of practice on my "box joinery," AND I need to build a cradle, I decided to modify the cradle plans that were graciously posted here and make the corners using 3/8" finger/box joints, just for the practice and to get my jig made/laid out/set up. I'll post a couple pics when done!
Still trying to decide whether to make the head cab out of finished hardwood or simply tolex the thing.
I have on hand, cherry, oak, walnut, poplar, clear pine and baltic birch ply. Also gonna modify the head cab plans a tad to make the front and rear panels the same thickness as the rest of the box, for ease of operations.
Just My $.02 & Worth Even Less,
Gene
