The design is done and pretty well tested. We're going to send it out to Lethbridge for another session in October.
THe dilemma is that our Canadian dollar is so low compared to the US, that the investment is about 30% higher than planned! Then we have inventory at an inflated value if our dollar ever recovers.
So we've been holding off.
Of course, this only affects non-US sales.

Yeah, this darn dollar right now is messing a lot of stuff up. I have a number of guitar projects on hold right now for the same reason.

The amp looks cool though - especially since it seems to be able to accommodate a headphone jack. Look forward to it being available; count me in to build one.

I like the TriFly too, and would seriously consider one (a kit) if they become available in the near future. I read about the exchange rate issues, and wondered if you could offer it at an "international" price in USD, and then issue a coupon valid only for customers with Canadian addresses. Would this take care of the problem?

The TriFly kits are ramping up. They will hit the shelves in less than two months.
Final chassis drawings are complete and we are confirming all costs.
Price has been set at $290 USD plus shipping. This gets you a full kit with all the parts including a Red Sparkle enclosure with all the documentation.

This is a real amp, using full size tubes (12AX7, 12BH7) . It is not a PCB, micro-tube based with some sort of capacitive charged or switching power supply. That means you can tweak the tubes and fix all the problems!

We hope to have all the costs and delivery finalized by end of next week. Then we'll let it go!
We Might get a pre-order going so watch out for that!
