 Post subject: Power supply test 240V

Just wired up transformer, but when running the test I'm getting 640v not 580v on the rectifier socket. All other voltages are correct.

It will go down when you attach the rest of the circuit.

Maybe your wall voltage is a bit higher than 240V.

Voltages are loaded voltages, not unloaded. See with tubes installed

Amp is finished, but still reading 640v across rectifier and B+ is 370V. Amp sounds quite brash and muddy when turned up but can't say I've got that far as its so loud!!! Would the higher readings have an affect on this?

Wiring is per instructions for 240v. Wire for on/off switch left a bit long as VRM is yet to be installed.
