 Post subject: Unbuffered effects loop

Can someone tell me where to insert a send and return jack in a lightening amp, just want to use two shorting jacks so when the loop is not in use the amp is as stock.

Bob,

Take a look at the Matchless Clubman schematic on schematicheaven.com.

That will give you a good idea on where to put the loop. A word of caution, however....I would use shielded wire for your leads to the loop and back, as the spots around the PI are prime targets for parasitic junk. I've been fighting parasites in my lightning ever since I first fired it up...

I ended up putting a simple - passive loop into the TMB channel only. Not done a Lightning yet. Here's what I did:

You could slip someting similar into the Lightnings or try the DC-30 loop.
