Well, I'm ready to post pics of my amp. I had it working great but was waiting for an impedance selector switch to arrive before I posted the pics.

Wouldn't you know it. After installing the switch, I now have a hum to troubleshoot. Oh, well. It WAS sounding great before.....

It's a fun project and you don't need to get in a hurry. It takes about 4 or 5 days to complete, plus then you have to work out small bugs like this hum.

Please give me constructive feedback, I'm not thin skinned. I'm trying to learn and this is a great way to learn more about amp construction and circuits.

The amp is a Trinity sIII with S2 transformers and a Mojo Cab with BBQ Blue Dog Speaker. Everyone supplied great quality components. Stephen Cohrs at Trinity was great to work with and always responsive. I can't recommend him enough.

Rock :)

Hmmm. The hum is in the V3 circuit and independent of the volume controls. I swear it was quiet before. I've tried a couple different tubes and it still hums and pops when I switch it to standby.

Any ideas? I've tried moving some wires around with no effect.

Removed impedance switch and hum went away. I put shrink tube on the unused ends of the OT. I can move them around near the board and they cause hum. Where is the best place to locate them? :?:

Problem solved. I wrapped the two extra leads in naked bell wire, then covered them with shrink tube and grounded one end. It's quiet as a church mouse now.
