Snowy has a recipe for a clean boost for the Tramp posted here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3478&hilit=clean+boost

What do you do to get a loud clean tone from your Tramp?

Any answers? I'm pretty interested in knowing that as well. I've bought a Tramp for cheap and have been blown away by it, but the previous owner lost the manual and never really read it, and I'm a bit lost sometimes.

I just got mine running this week, I get fairly solid clean tone with a 6L6 power tube by running the amp wide open and rolling off guitar volume.

this is exactly what I do as well. I have a TAD 6L6WGC-STR along with a Tung-sol reissue 12AX7. With Power, MV, and Vol just under maximum at "11", and the guitar volume barely rolled off, the amp cleans up amazingly well. I usually play a Strat with single coils, so humbuckers may be a different story.
