Hey all,

I've been lurking around here for awhile and finally sucked it up and ordered the sIII kit. Well, wouldn't you know it, I already screwed up.
I wanted to start assembling the board and when I trimmed the leads on the very first resistor (the big 150ohm 6.5 watter) I cut them WAY to short.

Can I solder the ends back on and proceed or should I start hunting around Mousers website? Something tells me it's probably not a good idea to solder those ends back on.

I'll keep you all posted on how the build goes and I'm sure I'll be back with more stupid questions.

Last thing. How can I post pics here?

Thanks,
Joe Gelchion

Don't do it. Buy a new one and do it right. You'll be glad you did. Where are you located?

It's OK fora temp fix, but you should get a solid part to replace it. Maybe at a local store rather than Mouser?

Try calling a local amp tech. If you can't find one that way, try calling Doug Hoffman at www.hoffmanamps.com or Mouser.
