Hello, is there a standard wire size and type and voltage rating?, i.e solid core copper?, etc to wire the filiments.

I seem to see alot of different sizes used.

22 Ga. solid will take over 5A and that is fine for most amps. 20 Ga will handle even more if you want a larger safety factor.

We put 22 Ga solid in our kits.
