Question number 1:

The turrets are definately larger then I drilled for. What size drill bit?
Yes, I still prefer building my own, cause I'm having fun :D and that's the name of the game.

Thanks

Use a 5/32" drill bit for those turrets.

Good thing you didn't drill 'em too big!

Those Keystones are big 'uns. I am trying some new ones now that require smaller holes.

After thinking about it, while reading your booklet (read first a few times, build after), I decided to save my first board for another project and use the new board I got from you. I learned alot from the first board. The second one will be better because of that. And what the hey, get that nice red swirl for the more authentic look :D

I did It :D this board drilled perfect. Fit right in the holes on the chassis, much better then the first one. Although my next board I have to figure out how to get a cleaner cut. Maybe I'm using the wrong bit's. It is brand new though.

What kind of drill bits do everyone else use, I'm using titanium.

I am taking pics of the whole process, as soon as I figure out how to post on the web space Verizon gives me. The I'll post them.

Having a ball :D Do not care how long it takes, this is so much fun. And your booklet is great, coco.

Like wood, you should back up the exit side of the hole to get as clean a cut as possible when drilling.

Glad you're having fun.. all you have to do is copy the link (URL) from Verizon and paste it here. Then put on either end of the URL.

Suggestion:

There is a black "film" on the chassis. I imagine it's from the aluminum being protected.
If the machine person happens to know of a way to get all of it off that would be great. The only way to not scar the surface and take it off , is with your nails. Very time consuming.
Not b**ching, just be easier to not have to do. Just go right to polishing.

Thanks,
Jac
p.s And yes I do everything and have a ball.
I'm a geek. Thats why I'm here, only the best.

Again, I wasn't complaining, I'm just trying for the perfect amp. Might not look as great as others, but it's mine.

The "rubber" was just hard to scrape off. That's all. I thought just for someone else.

Althoough I still intend on buying the lightening  :D
Thanks,
Jac

 Wait, that came out totally wrong  It's no problem with me, just thought I'd mention it for you.
Man, I can't talk righht anymore.
Jac

Okay, let's see if this works. Set up photosite for build pics. Still have to upload more and sort them in order.

Well, I'm definately finding out that it's much harder to wire a combo then a head. there's just no room for fingers or errors
