This past weekend I built a Trinity 15 watter from one of the head kits (I also bought the transformer kit).

I found it simpler than the 18 to assemble, and although I had a small problem (forgot to solder in one ground wire, which caused a no-sound situation on power up) after a few hours of trracing wires I found it and everything worked great!

Its a superb amp... very very good tone. Its going to make a great pairing with my 18 watt sIII.

Thanks to Stephen for the help and answering my emails!

I did a build thread at HC...

Here is a pic... just building a head cab now for it.

Nice job. Pretty clean wiring. You could shorten the transformer wiring though but if it's quiet, then why bother?

Looking forward to seeing the Cabinet Work too!

I guess it sounds pretty different from the sIII?

Stephen,
It is 100% noise free! I guess you mean the leads could be cut shorter yet? I thought I trimmed them up after leaving them full length in the 18 W...:)

It sounds great... I am afraid to say it may be even more tonefull than my 18 W...

Very nice indeed. You do move quickly! and it looks fabulous. What are the materials? Looks like Walnut, Birch & Cherry? Nice touch on the reversing patttern.

More Toneful? Toneful in a very different way. A great players amp. The 15 takes longer to get to know all of it's capabilities. The 18 hits rock & roll out of the gate.

Hope you found the 15 settings document useful for exploring tones.

Nice build AJC. The cabinet is beautiful. I too built a Trinity 15 and love it. Is that a vertical slant 2x12? It looks like a great idea.

Yup, slant 2 x12... Its nice, not too hard to lug around and sounds great.

I want to buy another speaker and build a 1x12, just to haul to band practiuce or when I dont even need the 2x12.

I gigged the 15 with my 18 (used a head switcher so I can use both heads through one cab) last weekend and they sounded amazing!

The 15 is my "clean" amp, and with my tube screamer, I use it also for mildly overdriven tones too.

ANyone want to buy my Orange R30 and 4x12 cab? I dont think it will be seeing much use now..
