Stephen, I'm getting around to attempting to put in the impedence selector you sent me last summer for my tremelo combo. Could you put up a wiring diagram for me, it's not making sense.

Thanks Jim Mccarey

To add some additional clarification, the yellow, green and orange wires from the OT go to the selector as shown.

The black wire from the OT goes to the output jacks.

You need to wire a jumper from the center pin of the selector switch to the output jacks.

(I'm wiring mine up today :D )

Stephen, the switch I have is completely different from the one showen in the builder's guide; it's all open with 2 tiers of contacts. I like the new one better, how much? I'm probably going to be on To this week for the auto show, are you still at Consillium place?

If you look at page 35 of the build manual (if you have a copy) it shows the pin side of the selector. There is an inner ring of 4 connector pins with three of the four clipped off and an outer ring of 12 pins.

The yellow (4 ohm), green (8) and orange (16) leads from the the OT go to the three pins that fit in the pie shaped section of the selector switch that has the inner pin as the "center point of the pie section". The black lead from the OT goes to the ground lugs of the output jacks. To make sure you have the correct lead to pin connections, refer to the back panel where the selector switch goes and check orientation. When connecting to the switch the OT leads should connect in clockwise order orange, green yellow.

The jumper is a wire you have to make up and attach from the selector switch pin on the inner ring to the signal li=ugs of the output jacks.

I hope this made sense.

Thanks JCNY; I have a different version of the switch. My original trem kit did not include one so there's no mention in manuel. I'll probably go to the auto show this week and will pick up the newer version from Stephen; it looks more compact and simpler to wire up. Jim

Just a big thanks to Stephen for walking me through the wiring of this switch. Both the switch and speaker jack went in with no difficulty other than time to do it.

I used the opportunity to clean up some of my rat's nest original wiring, first ever kit, and am happy with the results. The amp has always been very quiet and still is!

Thanks again Stephen.

Jim
