Hypothetically speaking, If I were to have a PCB made that would cost under $100 and offer the DIY guys digital reverb for their amps, how many think it's a good idea?

It has on board 24 bit AD/DA converters and the algorithms are supposedly programmed by the guy who did the work for Alesis. It actually has flange, chorus, and some other stuff. There are also on board pots for tweaking the effects.

So you would just hook it up to your heater supply, hook up the input (not sure what impedance just yet), hook up the output, tube buffer it, and mix it just like you would a tank. I think it only needs one triode, no transformer, and no tank.

What do you guys think?

It doesn't sound bad S2, but of course the kicker is what does it do to the tone
Have you tried it in one of your amps :?:
Have any clips :?:
Later,
Jac

If you still have to buffer it with a triode, why not use an op amp or other linear device? If you have to add a triode, then you probably are going to have to add the whole tube so I'd think a 'stand-alone' reverb might be worth a try.

What size board were you thinking? Some amps dont have much space left over.

Even the rest of the effect might be fun.

Why not add an serial/parallel effects loop before the reverb too. Shouldn't be to many parts and lets face it - there's no need for a tube based effects loop since you plus SS devices in anyway.

The Reverb sounds useful by itself though.

if space is an issue or just don;t ave the extra triode for the buffer you could use a quality mosfet
