Rephrase the question.
jcny had the right thread. Leemo your thread was developed for the 6V6 /EL-84 tube transfer switch.
What I'm doing is adding a Marshall jack to my chassis. I'll then plug in my footswitch. Neater setup this way.
I have a 4 pin jack. I only have it connected from the 22uf/2k7 turret. Their is a second connection from the 6 pin switch to pin 3 of V2. I imagine that's just for the V6 layout. I'm pretty sure I'm correct, as I'm only switching into the resistor/cap network , which therefore adds the boost in for the sIII. Once I jack in the footswitch , I'll be good to go, well hopefully.
I'll be starting the power up today, so want to make sure all my "t's" are crossed prior to.
Thanks,
Jac
Wait, here's a pic, not great, but it shows the connection.

Ya know, after studying both the sIII and sIII/V6 schemo I do believe it should be wired to V3 also.
answered my own question. Hopefully  :D

Do you use the fan to cools off your amps!

BTW: The boost is strictly on V2 cathode on an sIII. Try the footswitch but I expect it will pop.

Good luck!

I'm still thinking of adding an air conditioner along with a couple more fans  When I turn everything on, I'm still sweating quite a bit   I just like to be surrounded by musical equipment. I mean what If I'm in the mood to play well..whatever, I've got it. I still have 3 more rooms of gear  2 local music stores want what I've got bad.

Anyway, so your saying that the switch you developed for the V6, I'll have to build. It was developed for the V6/EL84 switch and the boost.
I'll have to go get the parts then.
Shouldn't effect power up now, right?
Thanks

No affect on power up. The switch we put inot our builds is not mechanical, it's electronic. Called the "Soft Boost".

Okay here's the pre-power pics (not the greatest). The variac is next.
Actually scared  Because of last time.
Hooking up an 8ohm speaker instead of a dummy load this time.
I have changed any little thing. So we'll see.

Also repaired my crybaby. I need this in front of the amp. Some caps blew. On my eye break I did that :D
Think I'll eat 1st
Later.

You got me thinking about if I should be looking for mushroom clouds to my southwest when it came to me.

In Back to the Future when Marty was in front of the wall of sound, since it was the 50's - - - - NUCLEAR POWED TUBE AMPS

How 50's, nuclear powered cars, nuclear harbor dredging, so nuclear powered tube amps, tubes big as 55 gallon drums

OK, so my mind works weird!

Okay I'm fed. Where's the beer! Damn heat wave, with all the fans (see Coco, the fans are on in preparation for the start up) on, I had to put a doo rag on to get the hair out of my face

But it's so fun :D :D I love that movie just because of the amp. AND you can build that. Not that I would want to be in front of it
Still stalling,

Hey jcny, I bought a new book, it's great.
I purchased Kevin O'conners "DIY Speakers Cabinets" $15.00 and well worth it. I've been building cabs since I was 10. I'm only thru half the book and learned a ton of info.

Funny, after I got the voltage up to 115, I left her on for another 15 min then shut her down for the night. Why? I don't know. I'll start taking readings now.

On another note though, She's WORKING and GLOWING beautiful. Yea, I've got an 18 watt sIII.

Ha ha, It's about time, eh
She's on now, I'll start the readings now in comparison to your charts. I'll be using the beefy tubes 1st. Sovtek 12AX7WA's and OTK41's (Russian military EL84M's. I don't trust anything yet :D
The worst part is waiting to plug in. I can't wait to try the 3335 :D :D

Okay, I cheated. Glad I did thou.
I have the normal channel playing. But I have no sIII channel. Completely dead.
Also had it dimed on the normal and it wasn't that load.
Maybe the cable?

Congrats. Having sound on the Normal channel is a good thing. Means the PI & power is working and you can focus on V2/ sIII channel.

Do check the sIII shannel input wiring tho! This is a combo. Did I send you a combo input jack wiring pic?

Write down your voltages and it's time to pull out the troubleshooting manual. Seriously, give the manual a read and see if you can pick up a few tips.
